Land Use Events
- County Appeal: Our appeal on the County's decision to allow a 24 hour Walmart grocery store at La Orilla and Coors has been denied.
We thank all of you who supported this appeal. We learned a lot from going through this process, although we were not successful in stopping this
inappropriate use of the land which is surrounded by residential neighborhoods.
- Volcano Heights Plan: The volcano heights Sector development plan was appealed by Volcano Cliffs property owners and the judge remanded
the plan back to the city because the review proces was not followed properly and an air quality analysis was not done. The City Planning Department
has decided to change it from a Sector development plan to an Area plan, which provides policies to guide development, not regulations to control it. A public
meeting will be held some time in the future.
For more information contact land@trna.org or call 898-2114
CITIZENS PATROL
Volunteers, two to a car, needed for two hour shifts driving through
Taylor Ranch to note and report suspicious activity.
