There
are many reasons to join TRNA, some listed below. TRNA allows you
to be an active part of your neighborhood and help improve the quality
of life for you, your neighbors, and the City of Albuquerque.
Have a stronger voice! Whether you can be an active participant
or a supportive member, we need your paid membership so TRNA can be a
catalyst for improvement in your neighborhood!
Strength
in numbers
When we represent Taylor Ranch to City, County, and State
Governments, our membership numbers are a critical component of
the strength of our voice.
Newsletter
- Mesa Messenger
Our Award winning newsletter will keep you apprised of positive Taylor
Ranch activities and issues that may be threatening your quality of
life. Business members can also reach our membership through
advertisements in the newsletter and web site.
TRNA
Web Site
Our web site provides quick access to much information about TRNA as
well as events and facilities in and around our neighborhood. A
members-only section allows us to provide controlled access to
additional information for our members.

Our social events are among the most prestigious in New Mexico.

TRNA committees
Our committee chairs and committee members are vital in keeping TRNA
active in our neighborhood. TRNA lends them its support to be
effective.

Youth Committee
We help youth of Taylor ranch stay actively involved in neighborhood
projects. This Committee provided inspiration for the Mayor's
Middle School
Initiative Anti – Gang Program, and has been recognized as the best
community involvement project in Albuquerque.
Crime
Prevention Committee
We establish Neighborhood Watch
programs and take part in Graffiti Paint – Out.
Education
Committee
We are actively involved in improving the quality of education in our
community and administering the TRNA
Scholarship Program, that provides small scholarships to
students of families in TRNA.
Parks
and Recreation Committee
We are actively involved in the Adopt-A-Park Program, work with the
City in designing additional parkland and
pathways in Taylor Ranch, such as Homestead Circle Park.

Past successes
Past successes are an indicator of the amount of effort and dedication
that members of TRNA have given their neighborhood in the past.
Some of these efforts are ongoing while others are in the past.
For those that are completed, we continue to monitor their status and
progress over the years.

Community Center -- One of the
largest all-age community centers in the City of Albuquerque
opened in October 2004.
Montaño Bridge -- Actively lobbied for the construction
and
opening of the Montano Bridge.
Fire Station --
Worked with the city to establish a substation in our community.
Library --
Coordinated and assisted in the planning of the Taylor Ranch Library.
Mariposa Basin Park
-- Fought long and hard for the creation of the city's largest park, as
well as active participation in its design.
Sierra Vista and Tennis
Complex -- Spearheaded the effort to convince the City to
buy the private club and create a community recreation facility.
LBJ Middle School
-- Convinced the School Board to change its site decision and locate
the school within its community, as well as active participation in it
design.
Graffiti Removal --
Constantly working to remove graffiti, usually within 24 hours of its
occurrence.
Median Landscaping --
An ongoing project to beautify the streets of Taylor Ranch.
Petroglyph National
Monument -- Heavily involved at the City, State, and
National levels to create the monument, and in its planning and design.
Paseo del Norte --
Years of struggle to create this major east-west arterial highway.
Trucked-In Apartments
-- Maintained appearance and construction standards in Taylor
Ranch by working to raze this eyesore.
Shoppes in Taylor Ranch
-- Fought City and developers to halt construction of 542 apartments
and replace them with the shopping center at Montano and Taylor Ranch
Drive.

and business memberships.

on a calendar year, so dues are pro-rated based upon the time of the

Residential
Memberships are $18 per year, with discounts for multiiple years.
Business
Memberships are $50 per year, with discounts for multiple years.
This membership type allows
advertisement in the newsletter and our web site. Your business
is listed in the newsletter four times a year and also on this web site.
Associate (Residential or
Business)
This is a class of membership for residential and
business members that are outside of the boundaries of TRNA.
Membership rates are the same as above. These members receive all
benefits of TRNA, but do not have voting privileges.
