This page does not cover all the other parks, museums, and related facilities available throughout Albuquerque.  For those, see the City's web page.

TRNA had a hand in helping develop this National Park, and we're lucky to have one so close to our neighborhood.  This park consists of several separate areas:
  • Las Imagenes Visitor Center is located west of Western Trails and Unser.  You can obtain orientation, learn about special events and guided tours.
  • Boca Negra Canyon is the closest to Taylor Ranch.  There are several trails, rest rooms, and picnic tables.  Many petroglyphs.
  • Rinconada Canyon is further south on Unser, a large natural area with a few trails system with no water or other services. Many petroglyphs.
  • Volcanoes on the mesa are accessible through very long dirt trails.  This areas is accessed via Paseo del Vulcan.
More information is on the National Park Service web site.

Shooting Range State Park Not far away from Taylor Ranch, on the other side of the volcanic mesa on Paseo del Vulcan is a park were you can practice shooting skeet, and target practicing with your hand guns.
